SEMI-AUTOMATIC ELECTRICAL BRUSH WITH DUST COLLECTOR

An automatic electrical brush system is a system which consist with number of components that operate by electricity to rub and clean a blackboard. Contain pocket for dust collector to avoid chalk dust to spread allover the room when it operate to clean.


PROBLEM STATEMENT

The existence of manually cleaning the blackboard during class time, the system involving the situation where by human being involve to rub the blackboard which consume a lot of time. And affect people’s health, system that will rub the board by consume little time and become environmental friendly without spread dust to affect people’s health.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Main objective of my project is to minimize the problem of environment pollution caused by chalk particles as well as increasing teaching time during class hours.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT.

  1. The time required in erasing is less as compared to hand erasing hence it save time.
  2. To save human energy
  3. It will protect human health by reducing the problem of dust.
  4. It will protect environment by reducing dust problem.
  5. It will be simple to operate once it is electrical operation.

LITERATURE REVIEW

This case discusses about the existing system and the proposed system whereby it comprises the definitions of the device. Techniques involved in the project completion and the explanations of other people whom are aware to the device concern.

OPERATION OF CONTROL CIRCUIT

When start1 switch is pressed it will cause the forward contactor to energize then motor to run forward direction. And produce horizontal movement of brush to the end of the board then ones it reach to the end of the board it press the limit switch and cut the start switch then the brush become stationary .
When start2 switch is pressed it will cause the reverse contactor to energize then motor will run in reverse direction and produce horizontal movement of the brush to the first side of the blackboard ones. It reaches there it press the limit switch and motor will stop to run then brush become stationary.

CONCLUSION

The tendency of chalk powder to fall down on the ground during cleaning the blackboard it avoided by designing a pocket for the collection of powder at the back of the brush once it rub the blackboard. It collect the powder during the rubbing duster will not fall down on the ground to cause the dirty of the clothes and minimize the rate of inhaling a chalk dusts. Therefore this project is successful by solving the problem existing.

RECOMMENDATION

The mechanism used for tapping dust in this project is done manually because of inadequate of proper components and materials and also technology involved. This project can be modified by using advanced technology by means of using a vacuum cleaner (which absorb the chalk dust while erasing the blackboard), micro controllers for driving the system and even sensor. The students with better ideas and able to use this technology are welcomed to make improvement.
