The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan is now accepting applications for the 2025 METI Government of Japan Internship Program. This fully funded international internship provides students and recent graduates from developing countries the chance to gain hands-on experience with Japanese companies.
Designed to promote global collaboration and foster stronger ties between Japan and OECD/DAC countries, the program gives participants valuable exposure to Japanese innovation, culture, and industry.

What’s Covered
Successful applicants will receive:

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold citizenship in an OECD/DAC-recognized developing country
-
Be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 25, 2025
-
Be fluent in English (Japanese not required)
-
Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a higher education institution

Be able to submit:

Certificate of enrollment or graduation

Letter of recommendation
-
No IELTS is required.
