This highly respected program allows participants to gain real-world experience within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) — the nation’s top intelligence and law enforcement agency.
Interns will spend 10 weeks (from June to August 2026) working at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., or at one of 55 field offices across the country. Compensation is based on academic status and follows the federal pay scale.

Compensation Details
Interns are compensated under the General Schedule (GS) pay scale:

GS-5 Level: For those holding a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in a graduate program

GS-4 Level: For full-time students who haven’t yet earned a bachelor’s degree or are dual-enrolled
Final pay will be adjusted to reflect the internship’s 10-week period.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a U.S. citizen

Be enrolled full-time at a U.S.-accredited college or university

Have at least one semester remaining after the internship (unless enrolled in a continuing education program)

Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
